Kate loves the fame?
According to PerezHilton, Kate Gosselin’s brother, Kevin, and his wife Jodi (she appeared on many episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8, as Kate would often leave the children with her) are confirming that Jon and Kate have actually been split up for several months, and are just putting on an act for the show!!
“The show is not reality, and has not been for a long time. This is a train wreck,” Jodi told reporters.
Kevin believes his sister is way too into the fame to give up the show.
The Season 5 premiere is gearing up to be the must-see-tv of the summer!!

I completely agree, Jayne! During the season premiere she kept saying that she “had” to go away all the time, because it was her job. If you are really concerned for your children (and she should be at this point!) I am sure you have enough money from 5 years of selling out your family to quit the book tours and stay home and fix things!
I seem to recall in an interview she did (maybe Larry King?) that she didn’t care if she sold a single book, that she wrote them for her children. Why does she have to be away so much, then, if it is apparently causing some damage to her marriage?
And for the love of Pete, get those cameras out of there!!

I believe that if Kate is REALLY concerned about keeping her family together and keeping her children in positive surroundings she would STOP all the filming NOW and let them get back to living a regular life. Having the cameras rolling and all the stories going around about “Mom & Dad” is only going to hurt the children. BUT if Kate is happier with the money and the cameras flashing in her face, then maybe Jon should leave and take those children with him and let “Kate have her fame”!!!!!!

The squabbling they do on their show is very realistic of the stresses of having small children. My husband and I do it and we only have three kids. However, I do think she should put Jon’s discomfort of living so publicly above her career efforts…her youngest kids are starting kindergarten in the fall so why can’t she find work as a nurse and he could return to the networking solutions. I think they’ve gotten used to the extra money and the perks, but is that worth their marriage and providing a loving two-parent home for their kids?
